Jennifer Maurer

My name is Jennifer Maurer, and I’m the founder and lead trainer behind PetImpact!, a positive-reinforcement, relationship-based dog training service proudly serving the St. Louis metropolitan area.


PetImpact! was created with one simple goal in mind: to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the life of you and your dog.


As a professional dog trainer, I don’t just train dogs — I coach pet parents. Together, we build a strong bond rooted in mutual love, trust, and respect. From that foundation, I teach clear communication and practical, real-life skills, including cues like Leave It, Come, and Loose Leash Walking. I also work through common behavior challenges such as barking, jumping, and play biting. The result is a dog who is not only well-trained, but well-balanced, well-mannered, and truly part of the family.

My training programs are designed to meet you and your dog exactly where you are.--from puppy preparation, basic obedience to advanced AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. Every plan is customized to your goals, lifestyle and your dog's individual needs.  Each session includes a written recap and clear manageable homework, so you always know what to practice in between sessions.  I also provide ongoing client support to ensure questions are answered and progress continues beyond our sessions.


With over 15 years of professional experience, I’ve had the privilege of coaching more than 3,000 pet parents and their dogs with consistent, proven results. I’ve trained dogs in a wide variety of environments — including private in-home sessions, group classes, parks, and retail settings — ensuring dogs can succeed not just at home, but in real-world, distracting environments as well.


I am an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen evaluator and have helped hundreds of puppies and dogs earn their AKC Puppy STAR, Canine Good Citizen, and Urban Canine Good Citizen certifications.
